When You are Away

You might ask yourself when you are away from home,  What can I do for God today?

Recently, I was away on a trip. I had a nice time and enjoyed being with some family that I don't see so often but I was away from home and my normal activities.  When you are away from your normal routine it is difficult or even a challenge to stay on track to do the things you would do if you are at your own home, such as your daily devotions or prayer.

However this does present new opportunities.  When you are traveling do your best to give God the time he deserves.  Make it a point to read a verse, say a prayer or thank him for keeping you safe while you are traveling.  even for giving you the means to travel and explore.

Think about what different things you might do for God in your new environment. 

Don't be afraid to say a kind word or help a stranger.  Be bold!  It is unlikely you will ever see the same people again so the fears you may have at home, around those you see often, can be conquered.  As in any situation, it just might be that God has put you in this new place because someone is asking God to send them help and you are the one he has sent. 

Of corse you never know …

What can I do for God today?

Give God the time he deserves – Thank God for traveling with you – Say a kind word or help a stranger you meet – Be bold and show Gods Love
